James Petkovic is a member of our Litigation & Insolvency team in the British Virgin Islands office. He has over a decade of experience in commercial litigation, with a practice that includes fraud, oil and gas, and banking disputes as well as a range of other commercial matters including contractual and restitutionary disputes. James also has extensive experience in international arbitration, having acted in multi-billion dollar ad hoc oil and gas proceedings administered by the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague. Prior to joining Harneys in 2023, James practised as a barrister at One Essex Court in London where he retains a tenancy and acted on multiple high-value commercial disputes. He is swiftly developing his offshore practice and has already acted on a range of high-value matters while at the firm.
