Biography

Horacio Woycik is the regional managing director of Business Development and head of our office in Montevideo. He also jointly heads our Latin American practice with Maria Pia Buchi, working closely with our fiduciary and legal teams to provide market-leading services to Latin American clients across investment funds, private wealth, corporate, M&A, and banking & finance. Horacio has more than 15 years of experience advising fund managers, international financial institutions, corporations and high-net-worth individuals on the structuring and administration of a broad range of offshore investment and financing vehicles.

Horacio's practice encompasses the establishment of investment funds, trusts, pension and employee benefit schemes, as well as the structuring of all types of finance and corporate transactions. He has extensive experience in the structuring of tax and succession planning solutions for high-net-worth individuals and their families across Latin America. Horacio is fluent in English, Spanish and transactional Portuguese.

Horacio spent three years in our BVI office before relocating to Uruguay to open the firm’s Montevideo office in 2010. Prior to joining us, Horacio led the Latin America operations of a leading international trust company in the BVI.

Before moving offshore, Horacio practised law for six years at the largest law firm in Argentina specialising in corporate and commercial law.
